We are again faced with a situation we choose not to walk away from. Sadly, we are damned if we do and damned if we don’t in many of these cases. Right now we feel we need to provide sanctuary & reprieve to three beautiful aged & forgotten souls. The choices are straight forward – it’s do or die.
From an armchair it would be easy for us to suggest euthanasia. From the frontline, we see 3 incredibly stoic creatures who have battled to exist in a forgotten pocket & who were still willing to come to us for comfort. Even if they are not long of this life, we would like to offer the opportunity of love, care & passing dignity for the time they have left. We are not talking expensive surgeries or treatments. We just want to maintain them with the basics (teeth, feet, wonder drug – feed) for what they have left. This is not a case of direct owner neglect. Sadly this is connected with dementia and social disconnect. There is so much about this case that is sad. Please help us to do just a bit to make a difference.
